Preparation for Advent
Fr. Casey shows why Advent is the liturgical season when the Church calls us in a special way to prepare our hearts and purify our souls so we can be ready to celebrate and commemorate the greatest event in all of human history: the Incarnation.
Father explains why the Biblical evidence points to one true Lord and Savior and one true Light of the World: Jesus Christ. He explains why this biblical evidence provides a verdict for every man and woman ever born: “For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son...” (John 3:16).
From Testament to Testament
Father also reminds us that one of the reasons we should love the Advent season’s Mass readings is because they present us with the words and written witness of the greatest prophets of the Old Testament, prophecies that point us like a star, to how the second peson of the Blessed Trinity would assume a human nature and take on human flesh in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
