The image of our ‘Lady of Guadalupe’ parallels the ‘Woman in the book of Revelation’ (12:1-2) who is clothed with the sun, standing on the moon and wearing a crown of twelve stars on her head.  In this series, Catholic lay evangelist Jesse Romero takes a biblical view of this approved Marian apparition and why this apparition still has profound meaning today.

The Queen Mother is the Answer
Pope Pius XII gave a prophetic counsel at the conclusion of a prayer he composed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of her crowning. The Supreme Pontiff declared the Virgin of Guadalupe the Empress of all the Americas. “For we are certain,” he said, “that as long as you are recognized as Queen and Mother, Mexico and America will be safe.”

More about Mary: She has also been called ‘Queen of the Americas and Patroness of the unborn’ and we trust that she will continue to crush the head of the serpent in our day and age, namely, in this culture of death. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
